Somebody to....
I watched Ella Enchanted and its one of those feel good movies that just lifts spirits. I was hooked into this song. I usually write my entries then find the song to fit them, but this one song got me thinking. I have been reading so many blogs, not just xanga's or blogger's, but there seems to be so many focused on people looking for someone to love, or the love of their life, and I am not against that, since its a natural instinct, but what bothers me is why be hell bent on looking. It was over 3 months ago that I decided to just enjoy what I have, just accept and be happy with who I am
.
Surely every single one of us can find someone who loves us, who truly cares about us and values who we are inside. In my case I have my Luna, my family, my best friends and even my new friends who I love. The people that are a part of my life right now and even before. Should we really be looking for somebody to love when we should be loving those who are in our life already.
I'm not suggesting we should settle, but certainly we should stop hurrying fate and trying to find someone to complete us, and be complete on our own. Why does it seem so strange for us to love ourselves that little bit more? I admire women and men who are single and live a full life. Those who know who they are and are not afraid to be alone. How can you expect someone to want to be with you, if you, yourself can't fathom being alone with yourself
So if like many people out there you are searching for that special someone to love, take a look in the mirror and realize the somebody you are looking for is YOU!
That somebody who you need to appreciate more is none other than YOU! Yep, don't be scared and don't disregard this advice, just try it, just try to love yourself that little bit more, and really look within, and get to know who you are. For only when you are happy with who you are and you know what you are worth, that is when others will see YOU as somebody to love....
I just finished the final touches for www.zeliah.com , which at the moments forwards to this xanga journal, but I wanted to make it seperate, and I wanted to make it bigger with pictures since I always get asked for more, and some downloads available for other people to use. I am also toying with the idea of making skins, since I have made quite a few skins for friends. I thought maybe it was time I started submitting some of them and also get credit for the ones I had made already, plus Photoshop and I are a lot friendlier now.

Let me know which layout you think is better, both will work as live images (image maps) which means most of the objects will become links that you can click on to enter a new page.

the search for love is one of the main engines of our life and evolution - it is our task not making it become an obsession...
....and i think the first layout is the more personal one, it shows that everything belongs from an human being...
haha no comment about being single and enjoying it...im rather hooked on the idea after having spending 2 years in solitary wilderness of having a realtionship now and spending quality time with the one i love...
dont quite know what u meant with the images sweetie..i clicked on the one with the lap top it opened..and that was it...its still cool though...
christmas shopping ...just completed for today..bought about 4 of the 40....sigh..but i started at least...
missed you lately...talk about me going to bed...baby get your butt to bed ok..if your tired...i saw the time you posted this..at least with me im awake all night but i dont get tired....

i watched that movie a few weeks back ... hehe wasn't quite my genre so i sorta fast forwarded throughout the movie ...
you train for kick boxing and participates in matches? awesome! you could probably kick my butt! wow you must be quite fit and toned ... i just dig girls who are into sports haha =p gonna get my gal into capoeira when i get back ... do you by any chance watch a lot of UFC / K1 / PRIDE matches? lol
too bad you never started capoeira but hey its never too late to start ... i have classmates that come in all sizes and ages lol ... considering you've done weight training, your upper body strength will give you an advantage ... the hardest part of capoeira that ppl find is getting the co-ordination of the ginga, which is the basic movement side to side ... but since you enjoy dancing, you'll probably have that co-ordination and sense of balance ... seriously, you'd pick it up REALLY FAST ... i never did any martial arts before but i play basketball and weight train as well .. so those factors helped me pick up capoeira really fast ... its so much fun ... cartwheeling and hand stands ... awesome ... =)

i find a lot of people create a lot of frustration and suffering for themselves over being in love with the idea of being in love. its really unnecessary and i agree, we should really just go with the flow, let love come when it will. peace.

You are very right, god has tht special someone out there for us and in our time we will find them:) Thts y if u lose a bf u shouldnt be so upset cause they must not be the one u are intended to be with...but i need to take my own advice sometimes, I almost lost my bf last nyt for a very stupid fight, and i cried so hard, if it wasnt for my dad we prob wouldnt be together today, thts wat daddys are good for

hey.. thanks girl, i do feel better.. me and my friend talked things over and she's better so i have less to worry about. i seriously think that i sometimes worry myself over my friends when i shouldnt.. but i just can't help myself.
i dont go searching and questing endlessly for love, but if it comes to me, i'm not going to just sit back and let it pass me by. im not passive enough..

I haven't seen Ella Enchanted yet, but I did see Princess Diaries 2, and I thought Anne Hathaway was quite charming and adorable.
I do agree that before you can really love someoneone else, you need to love yourself.
I think having a image map is a great idea.

Hi Zel, In general the image map layout is a bad idea unless it's done in such a way that the visitor can clearly see where they should click to go where they want to go. Reasons why image maps may turn some people off. 1. They don't know how to use them. 2. They are not intuitive. 3. The image may take a long time to load.
So if you do use one, I like the first one with the girl and the laptop.

Hi Zel, sometimes its also a case of "Er.. Who's good enough for me?" that stagnats singles for settling. But you're right, being totally happy and happy alone is a feat not many of us can achieve

i thought about what you said and am proud to realize, for once, that i am not writing in //complete// guilt and shame
ive been loving those around me, but what shames me furiously is what it took for me to get to here, when this was where i was suppose to be for all time. and that even when i have a romantic love, i should never abandon those around me, which is the exact opposite of what ive done this year.
so you know what, youre always right. youre always right, and in so many ways that it makes me melt with absolute admiration ^^
p.s. i like the room idea!
